    Group Description

    Purpose:
To provide a neutral accountability space where all industry participants — vendors, platforms, implementers, medtech, pharma, and device innovators — discuss responsible, transparent, and ethical AI practices in healthcare.

    Description:
Unlike other groups that focus on specific industry segments, this one is for shared challenges and values:Ethical AI development (bias, fairness, explainability).Compliance & regulatory readiness (EU AI Act, MDR/IVDR, FDA).Post-market surveillance and monitoring (how companies track AI after launch).Partnership frameworks (industry–hospital–academia collaborations). It’s where industry voices meet clinicians, researchers, regulators, and patients to align on trust and responsibility.

    Intended Use:
Share frameworks for responsible AI practices.Discuss regulatory compliance models.Provide real-world lessons on post-deployment monitoring.Collaborate on cross-sector partnerships that strengthen trust.

    Limitations:
Not a marketing zone — companies cannot use “responsibility” language to mask product promotion. No lobbying — policy discussions must remain evidence-based.Confidential compliance materials cannot be disclosed.Must stay principle-driven, not company-driven.

    Key Activities:
Posting responsibility pledges or lessons (“How we structured bias monitoring for an imaging AI tool”).Hosting cross-role workshops (clinicians + vendors + regulators).Sharing case insights on transparency (anonymized performance reports).Discussing compliance obligations under MDR/IVDR and EU AI Act.

    Potential Users:
AI vendors (6.1) wanting to showcase their responsible practices.Platform providers (6.2) discussing compliance across multiple vendors.Implementation partners (6.3) helping hospitals meet regulatory duties.MedTech & Pharma innovators (6.4) embedding ethics in devices and trials.Clinicians, researchers, policy experts providing oversight and feedback.Patient advocates ensuring transparency and accountability.

    Possible Discussions:
“How should vendors disclose AI limitations to hospitals?”.“What post-market monitoring obligations apply under the EU AI Act?”.“Best practices for explainability in clinical AI tools.”.“How to design multi-stakeholder governance boards for AI oversight.”.“Should vendors share performance dashboards with hospital partners?”

    Other Important Notes:
This group strengthens AIiHC’s identity as a neutral nonprofit — ensuring vendors don’t just talk about products, but also about responsibility. It connects directly to Pillar 3 (Foundational Principles), especially Ethical AI, Data Governance, and Regulation.Moderators may invite companies to sign a Community Responsibility Pledge before contributing here.Over time, this subgroup could produce shared guidelines, templates, or even a community “Responsible AI Charter.”
